On April 27, the Berlin State Library and the research group “Arbeitskreis Materialität der Literatur” are hosting a lecture by Doris Gruber on “Kometen zwischen Wunderzeichen, Astrologie und Physik: Zur Materialität von Wissenswandel in der Frühen Neuzeit”. The talk addresses the multiple ways in which the scientific study of comets created unique communication networks and influenced the use of various printed media.
