This year, the summer school generously funded by DiXiT, an international network of high-profile institutions from the public and the private sector that are actively involved in the creation and publication of digital scholarly editions, will be held at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. Dr. Nikolaus Weichselbaumer and Dr. Oliver Duntze are the conveners of the summer school, which will deal with “Typography and Scholarly Editing”. Participants will learn about the history of typography and printing and how the historical background relates to processes of scholarly editing.
Prof. Ralf de Jong (Folkwang) will hold the keynote lecture, which will be open to the public. More information can be found here. Registration is necessary, the summer school fee is 100€.
