Pursuing a range of issues similar to last month’s conference on the book in the humanities at HU Berlin, the Department of Culture at the John F. Kennedy Institute for North American Studies at FU Berlin is hosting a roundtable on the impact of digital technologies on knowledge production and publishing in the humanities. Kathleen Fitzpatrick (Director of Scholarly Communication, MLA), Jason Mittell (Middlebury College) and Mark Sample (Davidson College) will present projects, research, and ideas about the current state of the field. All three are specialists in Digital Humanities with hands-on experience in emerging publication and research methods. Especially Kathleen Fitzpatrick’s recent work on digital publication formats was widely discussed among scholars of print culture and book history. The panel is chaired by Frank Kelleter (FU Berlin).
The event is open to the public, the presentations will be held in English.
