Conference: Learning to Read – Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow (Mainz, May 8/9 2014)

345e2136fd In December, we posted a call for papers for the conference “Learning to Read – Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow”, which will be held in Mainz next week. A group of graduate students of Book Studies at Johannes Gutenberg-University in Mainz (JGU) are the conference conveners; the conference has been made possible by funding from the so-called Gutenberg Teaching Council, which supports research-oriented teaching, innovative teaching projects, and graduate students’ conferences at JGU. We are pleased to be able to publish the full conference program today. Registration is still possible via email until May 5, 2014: sk-lesenlernen@uni-mainz.de

A brief conference report by our guest contributor Leonie Schwab, who holds a B.A. in library science and is a graduate student in Book Studies at JGU, will be published following the conference.
