Post-doc position at Lancaster University: “The Author and the World”

The Department of European Languages and Cultures (DELC)Bild1 is seeking to appoint a post-doctoral Research Associate (part-time) to work on the AHRC-funded project, ‘The Author and the World: New Interdisciplinary Approaches to Authorship’ (appointment from 1 Sep 2014 – 31 Aug 2015). We are looking for a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills who is keen to work across conventional disciplinary and institutional boundaries. The candidate should have either a PhD awarded in literary and/or cultural studies by 1 September 2014, or equivalent experience. The candidate will also be able to demonstrate an active research interest in authorship, have a track record of organisational activities relevant to the role, and will be fluent in at least one of the languages researched in the Department (French, German, Spanish). An ability to work comparatively (i.e. familiarity with approaches taken in comparative literary or cultural studies) is desirable.
