Call for Papers: Student Conference: Learning to Read: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow

Toni Helme and Jenny Fuchs, Masters students of Book Studies at Johannes Gutenberg-University in Mainz, are coordinating an interdisciplinary conference for students and early career researchers on the topic: “Learning to Read: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow”. The conference will take place in Mainz on May 8 & 9, 2014 and has been granted funding by the Gutenberg Teaching Council (Gutenberg-Lehrkolleg) of the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz, which supports innovative teaching and student projects. The organizers have published a call for papers, which can be downloaded here. The call for 30-minute papers is directed towards other students at the M.A. level as well as PhD candidates and post-docs. The deadline is January 31, 2014.
