The Georg Eckert Institute for International Textbook Research in Braunschweig, Germany, has advertised a post-doc position (full-time, salary level EG 13), starting in April 2014. The institute “conducts application-oriented, multidisciplinary research into textbooks and educational media, informed primarily by history and cultural studies” (website). For the project “World of Children”, which analyzes representations and interpretations of the world 19th- and early 20th-century children and young adults grew up in, the institute is looking for an historian at post-doc level (cultural history, literary history).
